Maui Humane Society Online Store Return & Exchange Policy

Thank you for shopping with us! Your support helps the Maui Humane Society continue its vital work in rescuing and protecting animals on the island. Please read our Return & Exchange Policy carefully to understand how returns and exchanges are handled for items purchased from our online store.

Returns

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase! However, due to the custom nature of some of the products in our store (fulfilled by a print-on-demand business), returns are only accepted under specific circumstances:

  • Incorrect or Damaged Items: If you receive an item that is defective, damaged, or if the size, color, or design is different from what you ordered, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the item. We will be happy to offer a replacement or a full refund for the incorrect or damaged product. Please note that returns are not accepted for items that do not fit unless the size received is different from the size you ordered. Please make use of the size charts on each item for descriptive measurements.
  • Eligibility for Returns: To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Please ensure that the item is in its original packaging.

Exchanges

Due to the custom nature of our products, exchanges are generally not accepted. However, if you need to change the size or design of an item, please reach out to us within 24 hours of placing your order. We will do our best to accommodate changes before the item is fulfilled and shipped.

If the item has already been produced and shipped, we cannot guarantee an exchange. We encourage you to double-check sizes and designs before completing your purchase.

How to Return or Exchange an Item

If your item is eligible for a return or exchange, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Reach out to us at development@mauihumanesociety.org with your order number and a description of the issue (including photos please),
  2. Return Authorization: Our team will provide you with return instructions and a return authorization if applicable.
  3. Processing: If a return is approved we will process your refund or send the replacement as requested.

Non-Returnable/Non-Exchangeable Items

Please note that customized products (items with personalized designs, custom prints, or custom text) are non-returnable and non-exchangeable, except in the case of a defect or incorrect fulfillment.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method. Please note that it may take several business days for the refund to reflect in your account depending on your payment provider.
